About

Established in 1922 (re-established in 1989) and based in Kaunas, VMU is one of the most liberal modern comprehensive universities in Lithuania. Its well-deserved reputation rests on the achieved results in pursuing the liberal studies policy, success in establishing and maintaining excellent international relations, active participation in the city life, and marked contributions to the development of culture and science worldwide.
